When Open Source is not enough.
The university encountered numerous critical issues in their environments that led to different services suspensions and various interruptions due to slow troubleshooting and lack of proactive error isolation.
In order to speed up these processes, the university tried to implement a known open source product and experimenting with building and maintaining its own solution. However, this turned out to be a failure as the “open source” product required huge hardware and storage and very high maintenance and additional investment in a local system. Ironically, a system that was supposed to save time consumed a lot of time leading to their eventual selection of XpoLog.
